Welcome to the Bilingual Language Development Lab website!  

The Bilingual Language Development Lab at Loyola University Chicago is led by Dr. Perla B. Gámez, Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology.  Our research team is dedicated to investigating the language and literacy development of Latino children negotiating two languages. We aim to understand how Latino children's linguistic environments and culture-specific experiences, at different developmental time points, help promote their Spanish and English skills.  We invite you to peruse our website to learn more about our team and on-going research projects.
